El' Willies style is , Smooth & Soulful, Romantic & Relaxing, Fun & meaningful I wouldn't say its different ,because there is nothing new under the sun., But what I will say is that if you like Real Soul Music , not watered down. you'll love El' Willie..a lot of todays Djs try to pigeonhole the true art form of being an artist.being a true artist means expressing ones own individual interpretation of what it is that you are experiencing as you analyze and intrepid situations.or a certain situation..honest and true as the artist sees it..But like I said earlier most of the jocks today I call then bandwagon jumpers.. because when they hear on thing that appeals to then...they become " self righteous Experts on what good and what's not ..So they tell you what the people want to hear, when they are force feeding the listeners the majority of the time or what you should be sounding like.. You send then your music and they tell you something like " you should do a song like this. or do a song that sounds like that ..and the artist that they mention GOD bless there soul iI have nothing against them,, but that is them ,,,not me ..so if you take the jocks suggestion all of the songs sound alike ,,and if you here one you've heard then all..But back in the days you had Super-Jocks they took chances and played everything and let the people by request let them know what they liked,,and there was a whole lot of good music out there with different styles , and different flavors,,and the people could pick and choose what they liked..but not today,, I'm not saying all but I am saying most of the jocks have no heart to do it, or are totally in touch with what the people want to hear or or don't really care, or all of the above..So I'm very thankful for the internet and Cd Baby, for providing a tool for an artist to be able to truly express their art form the way they truly want it to be expressed,, because how do your fans know if they like you or not if they never hear what you truly do ..That's why i stay true to myself people say sometime to me El' your song is too long, or your song is too slow, and I ask then, too long for who ? or too slow for who ? and they all respond the same way. " well I was just saying, If it was me ..."" and I say when you do it for you, then that's what you do ,,But I'm doing this for me so I'm good with it..A older gentleman once told me a long time ago he said " El' Willie, you will have million of people that won't like your songs and don't think the way you do, and you will have millions that will like your song and think like you,,So all you have to do is find a way to reach those that do..,, So that's how I approach life..So by being true to what I like myself and the style that I've worked hard for years to develop for myself and what I've endured to get to this point,, ,I'm good with that. .So if you get a chance to listen to some of my music please do ,,and if you are in that million that don't like my music for whatever reason .,, I still would like to thank you for taking you some of your valuable time out of your life to even give my music an ear..And for those that do like my music maybe one or two or or maybe more ,,I thank you also,and I'm glad to find someone who think like I do ....You Figga Dill Me ? ..Peace
